Directors and Management

The Board of Directors and Management Team consists of individuals with extensive oil and gas, entrepreneurial and public company experience.

Alan W Morrison – President & CEO - Alan is Scottish and has 28 years experience in the Oil, Gas and Mining. He gained a B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland in 1982.  He then worked for major international construction and engineering companies on projects in Asia and UK.  Alan has experience working on projects for Bechtel, Fluor Daniel, Global Engineering, British Gas, Woodside, BP, and Esso.  Alan holds dual Australian and British nationality and has over 25 years experience working and running business in Indonesia, Australia, UK, and Asia.  His companies supplied engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance services.  This included refurbishment and operation of a number of offshore oil fields in Indonesia.  Alan is also Managing Director and General Manager of Ecosse Energy (Bengkulu) Pty Ltd and President and CEO of Ecosse Energy (Manokwari) Ltd. He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesian and has been resident of Indonesia since 1995.

Brian Henry – Director (Ecosse Energy Corp) & Exploration Advisor – Canada - Brian has 38 years experience in geophysics and seismic interpretation in the mining, oil and gas industries.  He graduated with B.Sc. in Engineering Geology and Geophysics from Queen’s University in 1969 and gained his M.Sc. in Geophysics in 1972. He has experience in Canada, USA, South America, Middle East, Africa, North Sea, and Asia including Indonesia.  He has worked with Huntec, Dynamar, Gulf Canada Resources, Getty Oil, Petro-Canada, Torca Geophysics, ARAMCO, Dana Petroleum and as an independent consultant prior to joining Ecosse. Brian is currently based in Canada.

Iain Steele – CFO & Director (Ecosse Energy Corp & Ecosse Energy (Bengkulu) Pty Ltd) - Australia - Iain has a Diploma in Management Studies from the Polytechnic of Central London, Diploma in Marketing (DMS) from British Institute of Marketing and a Master of Arts (Honours) from Edinburgh University. Iain is currently the Australia and New Zealand Country Manager for Scottish Development International. Iain has over 30 years experience in company management and as a company director in private and listed companies.  His previous directorships have included Non-Executive Chairman of Connxion Ltd, Director of ACL-Global Pte Ltd, Development Director of Sharinga Networks Inc. (San Bruno), Director Partner Development - BT/Concert (Sydney, Business Development Director BT/ Syncordia (Hong Kong). Iain is originally from Scotland but now lives in Australia.

Steven Broadmeadow – Director (Ecosse Energy (Manokwari) Ltd) & Operations Manager – Indonesia - Steven is a director of Ecosse Energy (Manokwari) Ltd and Operations Manager of both Ecosse Energy (Manokwari) Ltd and Ecosse Energy (Bengkulu) Pty Ltd. Steven obtained a BSc. (Hons.) Geology, from the University of Sheffield, England in 1977.  Steven has 30 years of oil & gas experience, including over 26 years in Indonesia. He previously worked with Expro International, PT Production Testers Indonesia and Corelab. 

Nigel Fletcher – Non-Executive Director (Ecosse Energy Corp & Ecosse Energy (Bengkulu) Pty Ltd) - Australia - Nigel graduated with B.Sc. (honours) in Mining Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in UK in 1982. Nigel has 24 years experience in the Middle East, Indonesia, Philippines, China and Australia as a Petroleum Engineer and Well Completions / Well Test specialist. Nigel has previously worked for ConocoPhillips, Unocal, Santos, BP, ARCO, Schlumberger and Flopetrol. Nigel is from UK but now lives in Australia.

Andrew Winstanley – Exploration Manager – Indonesia - Andrew has 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He graduated from Cambridge in 1979 with a BA in Natural Sciences (Geology), becoming an MA in 1982. He has worked as Exploration Manager and New Ventures manager for Clyde in Holland and Indonesia, and as a geophysicist for BP, Clyde Petroleum, Gulf Indonesia and Petronas and as Exploration Advisor to EWC, before joining Ecosse Energy in 2011. He has worldwide experience in Europe, the Middle east and Africa, South America and SE Asia, where he has worked for the last 15 years. His experience covers all aspects of exploration and development geoscience.

Volker Rathmann – Director (Ecosse Energy (Manokwari) Ltd) & VP Business Development (Ecosse Energy Corp (USA)) – Houston, USA - Volker has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and the oil and gas industry.  He holds a BA in finance and business administration earned in Berlin, Germany.  In addition to his position with Ecosse, Volker is currently the president and a partner in Collarini Energy Staffing Inc. and Energea Experts, LLC, two firms providing professional consulting services to exploration and companies throughout the oil and gas industry.  Prior to joining Collarini, Volker held the position of Chief Financial Officer for INTEC Engineering, a provider of specialized engineering services in global frontier and deep-water projects. Before INTEC Engineering, Volker held a number of leading positions in operations, marketing, and finance within the DaimlerChrysler Corporation. During his tenure with DaimlerChrysler, he gained the experience and background of managing globally-oriented and growing firms. Volker lives in Houston, Texas.

Dudi Setiabudhy – Business Development Manager – Indonesia - Dudi has 26 years operational experience including 15 years in oil and gas.  Dudi graduated in 1984 from MIA Bandung.  He initially gained extensive experience in logistics and material management prior to moving into oil and gas.  Since 1999 he has been responsible for logistics, general affairs, manpower, and offshore marine operations with Alan Morrison’s companies. Dudi joined Endeavour Energy (now Ecosse Energy) in 2005 and is now Business Development Manager in Indonesia.  Dudi is a native Indonesia speaker and speaks fluent English.

Mike Shepherd – Operations Advisor – Indonesia - Mike has over 30 years experience in oil, gas and petrochemical industries.  His specialty is oil and gas production and he has worked for many international oil companies in UK, the Middle East and Indonesia such as ConocoPhillips, Enterprise Oil, HudBay Oil, QGPC, BP, ZADCO, CFP, Occidental and Shell.  Mike has been working with Alan Morrison on a number of projects in Indonesia since 2000.  Mike is from UK but has lived in Indonesia since the mid 1990s..

Faroek Basrewan – Non-Executive Director (Ecosse Energy (Manokwari) Ltd) – Indonesia - A graduate in law from Indonesia Christian University, Faroek has had a long and distinguished career in general mediation and dispute resolution, Government and regulatory relations, and the health and consumer products business sector. He has served as special staff to the Indonesian Minister of Defence and is currently special staff advisor to the Indonesian Foreign Minister. He previously served as a senior executive for Phillips Duphar and American Home Products in Indonesia. He is fluent in Indonesian, English, Dutch and Javanese, and has travelled to 56 countries in commercial and Government capacities. Faroek is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Harry Pasaribu – Government Relations – Indonesia - Harry has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas sector, mainly in Indonesia. Harry gained a B Sc, in Physics from the Institute Technology Bandung (ITB) in 1980, following this he worked for the Department Energy And Mineral Resources (MIGAS) and the Directorate General Oil and Gas in Indonesia. Harry has extensive experience in the regulatory requirements for Indonesian oil and gas exploration and production.  He is also experienced in certification of engineering systems and tendering requirements to Indonesian oil and gas standards. Harry lives in Jakarta, Indonesia.
